Leah Fessler is a Justice Catalyst fellow at MacArthur Justice Center’s Missouri office. Her fellowship project focuses on challenging the Missouri Department of Corrections’ policies denying incarcerated individuals access to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
Leah earned her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2024, where she worked for the Veterans Legal Services Clinic and served as a Notes Editor for the Yale Journal of Law and Feminism. During law school, Leah also worked as a law clerk for Public Justice, New York Legal Assistance Group, Open Communities Alliance, and for Judge Lewis Liman on the Southern District of New York. Prior to law school, Leah worked as a journalist, and she holds a B.A. in English and American Literatures from Middlebury College. Leah is admitted to the Missouri Bar.
