Areas of Focus

Noor Tarabishy is an attorney at the MacArthur Justice Center. Noor’s practice focuses on vindicating the constitutional rights of people harmed by the criminal legal system. Her work includes bringing suits for damages on behalf of wrongfully-convicted individuals and victims of police abuse, challenging the use of solitary confinement, and advocating for the rights of immigrants. 

Noor received her law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, along with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Human Rights, with honors. During law school, she was an Articles Editor for the Northwestern University Law Review and a clinic student at the MacArthur Justice Center and the Center for International Human Rights. Noor was the Michael Francis Lefkow Public Interest Fellow at the National Immigrant Justice Center and the Justice John Paul Stevens Public Stevens Public Interest Fellow at Legal Aid Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree, with high distinction, in mathematics and economics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
